Singer Adele truly turned tragedy into triumph at music's most prestigious award show, the Grammy's. She had previously won 2 Grammy's in past years, but this time around her story really made it so much more special. Adele had surgery on her throat, the body part that produces that unique voice that leaves fans in awe, after a vocal cord hemorrhage. This laser microsurgery caused Adele to cancel tour dates so that her voice could recuperate in late 2011. Her comeback was to be made at the 2012 Grammy Awards where she ended her performance of 'Rolling In The Deep' with a standing ovation by her fellow music peers.
Adele walked across stage several times to receive all 6 trophies out of her six nominations. She easily could've gotten out the brooms because it was a clean sweep of 3 of the 'Big 4': Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Record of the Year. The last of the four was Best New Artist which Adele already won in 2009. This year it was given to the well deserving Bon Iver. It was clear that it was Adele's night to shine, and the gold of those six shining trophies reflected nice on her.
