Singer The-Dream got his first big break in the music industry as a songwriter. In 2007 he wrote a song for Rihanna in 15 minutes that brought him $5 million dollars between 2007 and 2009. I'm sure he's made even more since then off of the song. This type of money would put pressure on anyone to keep writing songs for others instead of focusing on becoming an artist. Nonetheless, The-Dream is still working at his artistry and is even planning on releasing a free project later this year. In the interview below from 2010 he talks about the best and worst part of being an artist.
